What a thrilling night! We won the six-way Primary with a 6% margin! I am honored to be your Republican nominee for Governor!!! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support. I couldn’t have done it without your loyal friendship.
I am proud of the campaign we ran. I’m excited that so many Delawareans embraced our message of ending the stranglehold of career politicians and that they want to hit the refresh button for our state.
I will be right back out on the campaign trail. We only have days to defeat Carney.
Once again, thank you for your dedicated support. Your friendship means the world to me and Pat!
Georgetown attorney and Republican gubernatorial candidate, Julianne Murray, fresh off her resounding victory at the Delaware Republican State Convention said that her victory demonstrates that her campaign has the momentum needed to win in November. She said her victory was truly incredible in that she has only been in the race for two months and was able in that time to defeat better known and financed opponents. Murray said that her win showed that voters want someone who is not a career politician and will be unafraid to wage the campaign needed to defeat John Carney and put Delawareans first.
“I want to thank the delegates for their endorsement of my candidacy,” said Julianne Murray. “As I campaign across our state, I hear from voters that they are tired of career politicians and the political games. Delawareans want a governor who will fight for them and put Delaware first. This victory demonstrates this.
“In two short months, my campaign has shown the momentum that will defeat John Carney in November,” continued Murray. “I urge everyone to join this campaign and help me win. It is time for a change in Delaware. I promise when I am elected that I will work day and night for the citizens of Delaware and always put them first unlike our current Governor who puts his donors and their special interests ahead of the well-being of Delawareans.”

“I did not have the good fortune to be born in Delaware. After living in other states, it was clear to me I was a Delawerean through and through. I am proud to call Delaware my home. While we might be a small state we should dream big. I hope that you will join me on this important campaign to hit the refresh button for our home state.” – Julianne Murray
Julianne Murray has never shied away from hard work or a challenge.
Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Julianne was a good and hardworking student. As a result of her determination, she earned a full academic scholarship to the University of Arizona where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management Degree. While earning her degree, Julianne interned as a staff training specialist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons at FCI Tucson.
Longing to return to be near her family, Julianne relocated back to the East Coast and began working as a paralegal for a law firm in Virginia. She married her husband Patrick in 2002 and shortly after they relocated from Maryland to Delaware. Julianne became the Administrator for a Georgetown law firm. In 2008, at the age of 38, Julianne took on the challenge went and to law school. She worked at the law firm and attended school full time until her 3rd year when she became an extern for Justice Henry duPont Ridgely of the Delaware Supreme Court. In 2011, Julianne graduated, passed the Delaware Bar and was admitted to practice.
In February 2012 she opened her own practice (Murray Law LLC in Georgetown) and hit the ground running. She built her practice from the ground up and over the course of the next 8 years has added two partners, helped thousands of Delawareans with their legal needs (both civil and criminal) and has been a champion of the U.S. and Delaware Constitutions.
THE TIME IS NOW to change how things are done! Governor Carney’s entire term in office has been riddled with indecisiveness and lackluster performance. It is not just his mismanagement of COVID-19. Delaware had one of the worst economies in the nation PRIOR to COVID-19. We need FRESH START!
Julianne Murray is willing and able to make the hard decisions that are going to be required to get Delaware back on track. She has the E.N.E.R.G.Y. and will focus on the following:
Delaware’s economy has been decimated by the Governor’s COVID-19 declarations. We have to get the restaurants and businesses back to fully operational. Small businesses create the majority of new jobs and our small businesses have been dramatically impacted by the shutdown. There are long-term effects of the economic shutdown such as reduced tax revenues and increased governmental spending that are going to cripple Delaware. We need to attract businesses back to Delaware!
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our state. The majority of new jobs are generated by the small business community. By creating more jobs, there is competition for employees which results in increased wages. If we want to grow jobs and wages, then our state must work with the business community instead of against them. However, we don’t accomplish that by our state government picking winners and losers. We do it by creating an environment where all businesses can thrive.
Unfortunately, our Governor has gone well beyond picking winners and losers. He is deciding which businesses can survive and which ones will go bankrupt. The cries of business leaders and their employees will not fall on deaf ears when Julianne Murray is our Governor.
Let’s take bold action to improve the business climate and facilitate job growth by enticing new companies to come to Delaware and help existing companies expand.
In order to change the way politics operate in Delaware we have to get into the neighborhoods and connect with voters and get them engaged and excited to vote. We have to convince citizens that a political outsider that owns a small business is the right person to get Delaware back on track.
Abraham Lincoln once stated “The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.” Our youth are the future leaders of Delaware and the U.S. We need to be teaching our children HOW to think – not WHAT to think.
The U.S. is a republic form of government and is designed to be government of, by and for the people. The representatives in government in Delaware need to be in touch with what we the citizens are concerned about. Career politicians have lost touch with their constituents. It is time for politicians to stop playing political games with our rights.
As our next Governor, Julianne Murray will uphold the Constitution and our God given rights as citizens. Julie knows that limiting our Second Amendment rights does not translate into tough-on-crime measures. It doesn’t make anyone safer. It only punishes law-abiding citizens. Like you, Julie worries about the violence in our communities. She wants safe streets and safe gathering places for our friends and family. Julie will look beyond the rhetoric to find the real source of the problem and find solutions that do not infringe our rights. By addressing the true problem, we will be taking the politics out of the issue. Unfortunately, our Governor and the media like to perpetuate misinformation and dangerous rhetoric in order to push an unconstitutional agenda that threatens the rights of law abiding citizens. As Governor, Julie will defend the rights of our law abiding citizens, hold law breakers accountable, and support our first responders.
COVID-19 has shown that the government can and will take away freedoms from Delawareans in an unconstitutional manner. We must address this so that future Governors have checks on their power.
We need YOU to get energized and excited about changing the course of Delaware and to bring your friends on board with you.
